Concentric circles of life
Not a singular direction
But many shimmer in the sun

Birds swim past
Creating new ripples
A rock tossed
Creates yet more

The wind breathing down
Creates the strongest patterns
Along with the current
That flows deep beneath

The ripples shimmer everywhere
Endless patterns of beauty
Flowing, merging, dancing
Shaping the river’s form

Never the same
Always changing
Sometimes few ripples
Sometimes many dance

But the water always moves
