The Sound Of Wind

The wind passes by
Whispering ever so softly
Of things majestic and high
Bearing the mantle of eternal scribe

Rustling and fluttering down
Through untold centuries
At times in near silence of sound
Elsewhere, roaring in grand finale

A wonderous orchestra it may be
Radiant swirling light and color
To accompany exquisite melody
A harmony at once full and empty

Dancing through the wild
Laughing with all of nature
Forever charmed and beguiled
By all that is pure and beautiful

Here it races in delight
With frolicking colts and lambs
In distant seas, boldly venting its might
In awesome displays of crashing waves

There, gently skipping around a fragile flower
Sweeping upward to tickle the leaves
Joining in a tango with the spring shower
And higher still to waltz with the soaring eagle

Shimmering through bubbly waves
Fashioning eddies and rainbowed mists
Scampering through autumn in crackling mutters
Permeating the seasons with ever-changing lyric

Each sonnet weaving a story
Murmuring Heaven’s heartbeat
Unseen wind whispers of glory
Symphonizing Eternity with the fleeting
