The Ancient Hunt

In an ancient mystical land
Where mists rose from scented forests
Deep blue waters snaking through
And soft grasses whispering in the wind

As the moon rises
Reflecting patterns on the waters
A beautiful sleek panther
Moves as one with the earth

As fluid and graceful
As she is cunning and strong
She hunts under the moon
A silent dance through the trees

The wisdom of all ages
Courses through her
She hunts alone
And rules the night

She is the Omega
There are none more powerful
Lesser creatures fall
And perish in her gaze

But there is another who hunts
He is the Alpha
Who follows the sun
And moves as one with the sky

A powerful dragon
With scales of shining gold
He breathes fire
And enflames all he touches

He also hunts
As he races through the sky
Lesser creatures flee in terror
But they hold not his interest

He seeks his Yin
The She who hunts
The only one
Who can match his power

But being hunted
Is alien to her
She attacks and flees and dances away
With all of her cunning and strength

And she races away
Into the cool oasis
Of her solitary nights
As hunter of the earth

As she always has when hunted
Leaving behind lesser males
And those who went
To hunt easier game

But the dragon is the Alpha
And remains undaunted
By her show of power and fear
His Yang is drawn to the strength of her Yin

He hunts her
And tempts her
Chases and whispers to her
With all the seduction of the ancients

The wily predator in her
Does not easily bend
For well she knows
The fate of the hunted

Yet her instinct to sabotage
Is tempered by her Yin
Responding to those persuasive calls
From his Yang

She smells and senses
The powerful maleness of him
And is aroused and enflamed
Willingly or not

So tentatively and silently
She steps from the forest
Meeting his hot gaze
Her instincts fighting with her Yin

Two creatures of great power
They circle one another
It seems uncertain
Whether they will attack or embrace

The Omega of the Night
And the Alpha of the Sun
They are both as wary
As they are aroused

And then the dragon
Breathes a tender flame
Down the side of her face and neck
An elegant and artful tickle to her senses

And the mating dance begins
And sways through time
Their passion mounts
Through the moon and the sun

She is enthralled
And held captive
By his rock hard maleness
And seduced by the heat of his energy

He is entranced
By the power of her Yin
And buries himself
In her wet femaleness

Primordial passion of legends
Flames throughout the land
Thunder crashing
And lightening flashing

And when the moment has passed
The Alpha takes to the sky
With a triumphant
And glorious male roar

And the Omega races under the moon
With a Mona Lisa smile
Curled upon her lips
Her female destiny realized at last

Wild and free
Cunning and strong
They both are
And the hunt will come again
